MAC Haul

So lately I've been having a cosmetic craze over MAC. I stopped using it for a while and switched over to Mary Kay Cosmetics and skin care, but now I'm in the UK I need a darker shade ( thanks to Mr. Sun)  its hard for me to get another MK foundation so I had recently stopped over at the MAC counter close to where I live since I  need a darker shade and I kinda splurged a little over more then what I needed. Here are the things I purchased:

Beautiful MAC packaging. The foundation box got destroyed somehow :s

The eyeliner is the Grease paint Stick in Slick Black. Glides on very smoothly and dark just the way I like my eyeliner to be. This is great because if I want a smokey eye look, I can use it as a cream eye shadow as well.
The four pigments I got are crushed metal collection in Summer Stash. They come 4 stacked together in one, weighing 3g each, which is a good size because even trying to finish this off in a year or so will last last me a long time. These also don't require a primer before applying since they are so pigmented they stay on all day long.

Sorry for the slanted picture it was hard to get them to stay still without rolling over.
From Left to Right: Kissable Lipcolour in Flaunting It, normally I don't go for the purple/plum colors but for some reason this color caught my eye and it doesn't look dark as it seems, it blends well with my skin tone color.
Superglass in Giftwrap, this is just a simple clear sparkle lipgloss as it goes great with some of  my other matte lipsticks to give it that shimmer and shine. This is something I would always wear as a over top rather then by itself.

Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 in NC40, love the way this foundation blends into my skin as it is very soft and easy to apply, it doesn't give me a patchy look. Just gotta make sure you have good enough moisturizer and primer applied before the foundation itself.

Cremesheen Lipstick in Call My Bluff, this color I have purchased in the past before. I just love it because it again blends very well whenever I wanna go looking natural without too much color showing off. I can also put on some Giftwrap Superglass to give me some shimmer.

Sheen Supreme Lipstick in Tea Ceremony, this colour is kinda similar to Call My Bluff but it is a darker version to it  and applying a pink/red shimmer lip gloss gives it a great finish.

Hope you guys enjoyed :)

Benefit Cosmetics - That Gal Primer

So I'm pretty new to the UK here. I have noticed there are always great samples when you buy magazines here. Now I'm orginally from Toronto and we've never got such samples like this when you buy a magazine down there, you only get the magazine. I find this  a great way to sample something out first before purchasing the full size of the product and even sometimes you just end up getting the full size item with certain magazines which is a bonus.

A few days ago I had walked into WHSmith and saw Glamour magazine promoting Benefit products this month, there were three products, one in each mag of course; that gal (primer), bad lash (mascara) and POREfessional (primer).

I had been very curious to try 'that gal' primer for a long time. And I find it is a great way to actually have it and sample it yourself for a few days rather than using it once at the counter and not knowing the continuous results.

I must say 'that gal' does exactly what it says on the packaging itself, ''brightening face primer'' You can wear it alone to or under makeup to smooth your skin, it adds radiance without it looking artificial. The smell is divine I must say, also don't get worried the primer is pink, but once you take a small amount and blend it onto your skin it blends very nice and giving you a natural/flawless look. You can also apply it throughout the day over your foundation to re-brighten your complexion.

How it looks like:

 After you blend it in:

The sample size I received was 7.5mL and the full size bottle is 11mL for £21.50. The sample size a little more than half the full size bottle is but I will defiantly be buying the full size bottle once my sample finishes. You can find Benefits Cosmetics at major department stores like John Lewis, Debenhams and certain Boots location.

Pimple..disappear!!

I love chocolates and will never give them up for anything..not even a pimples that pops out randomly.
Lately I had noticed many store having green tea or tea tree skin care for blemish prone skin. So I had given it a try but I felt it wasn't doing the job 100% for me. Then I had realized why not use a green tea bag.. So after drinking my green tea, I would take the tea bag and dab it all over my face (clean your face with a cleanser first) I would use it as a toner over night, and let me tell you this is the best skin routine I have ever used.
One tea bag.. Double the benefits.
You should give it a try!!

Philips HP6578 Satin Perfect Luxury Epilator Set

So I had been waxing for the past two years or so, but  it was always messy with the hot wax, waiting for the right temperature so my skin wouldn't burn (I have sensitive skin).

Just recently I had been hearing such great things about the epilator. So  I had thought I'd give it a try and bought myself the Phillips HP6578 Satin Perfect Luxury Epilator Set, one thing I loved the most was it comes with a mini set for those small areas to get, different head settings for the main epilator, a light-up plucker, recharge outlet and a travel bag.

I have to say this was a great investment I get better results then waxing, the pain is something you need to get used to after 2-3 times, just make sure you have some loud music on because the sound is kind of irritating. Rechargeable- 40 minutes use after one hour charge, Optilight to target finer hairs.

Over all it is a brilliant product with amazing results. Never ever going back to waxing. The epilator works effortlessly to remove even the smallest hairs. I would recommend this to anyone.

You can get this from Argos, it is on special for £87.99 (reg. £132.99)

My Rating: 5/5
